Thursday to Sunday: 10:00am - 6:00pm (explore until 7:00pm)

Victoria Butterfly Gardens offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages to experience the beauty and curiosity of a tropical jungle up close. Step into a lush, vibrant world where surprises await around every corner. Encounter a caiman, dart frogs, tortoises, a flamingo, free flying tropical birds and more. Enjoy the tropical fish swimming in ​t​heir serene pond and stream circulated by a stunning waterfall. Thousands of tropical butterflies (up to 70 species) fly throughout ​their expansive indoor jungle. Your admission also includes ​access to t​he Insectarium exhibit. Experience impressive insects & invertebrates from around the world, from dazzling beetles to delicate stick insects. Don’t miss out on one of Victoria’s must-see immersive and educational attractions!
Please Note: The Butchart Gardens shuttle does not currently stop at the Butterfly Gardens. You must have your own way to the Butterfly Gardens. The Butterfly Gardens is about a 5-minture drive from The Butchart Gardens. If you do not have a vehicle, you may catch the #75 BC Transit public transportation bus from the east side of the Parliament Building. A day pass can be purchased for $6 CAD in Victoria.
